THE SHAREWARE AGREEMENT
=======================
EASISTAT is distributed as Shareware. That means that
you are legally allowed to copy it and give copies to other
people who you think might like it - in fact you are
encouraged to do so. However please note the following points:
1. The copyright of the programs remains with ARC Scientific
Limited.
2. You must not charge more than a nominal fee for the programs
if you pass them on to someone else, nor may you distribute them
as part of a promotional scheme.
3. Please acknowledge the programs in any publications of work
for which it was used.
4. If you pass them on you must do so in unmodified form with
all the auxiliary files listed above. (The files marked with a
* will all (just) fit on one 360K disk and the others will then
fit on a second.)
5. If you decide to continue using the programs, you must pay
to become a registered user. This gets you an up-to-date copy
with a full printed manual, and encourages the production of
other good, low-cost software.
The current price to register is 40 pounds sterling.
For your convenience in registering, the file ORDER.PRN can
be used, with most printers, to print out an order form.
You may need to produce an invoice in order to get your
employer to pay the registration fee, in which case you can
print out the file INVOICE.PRN.
UNPACKING THE SELF-EXTRACTING ARCHIVES
======================================
The files UTILS.EXE and EASIDOC.EXE consist of two special
programs which contain a number of other files in compressed
form. In order to unpack these files, simply enter the program
name. The files will be unpacked into the current working
directory. Alternatively, you can specify a disk and
subdirectory where you would like the files to be located. For
example, to unpack the UTILS archive into the subdirectory
ESTAT of drive C: you would enter:
UTILS C:\ESTAT
